Vince (DC1SON) > This is a view of Danang, on the right hand side of the picture.
Directly to the front is Danand Harbor and the China Sea.
This was taken from the 81MM Mortor Pit, the rods are the aiming stakes.
Vince (DC1SON) > Man, was I short. about an hour after this was taken my little butt was in a C-130 on my way to Okinawa.
Vince (DC1SON) > Wayne Royce from the state of Washington.
Vince (DC1SON) > Dave Giguerre of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
Vince (DC1SON) > This mean looking character is Uvalde. The photo was taken in the EM Club tent. Hey, where'd we get that refrigerator?
Vince (DC1SON) > A young vendor of peanuts inside the Rex Bar in downtown Da Nang. We had one day of liberty each week, mine was Thursday, 12 to 6PM. Everyone knew that I could be found at the Rex sitting with Lynn Nguyen. She was a beauty. Had it been anywhere else I might have gotten serious. She was very sweet but still a B-girl. I hope she and her sister survived those murdering commie bastards after the US deserted Vietnam. This little girl also knew I was good for a bag or two of peanuts. Even the children in the Nam worked hard. There was also a shoe shine boy about six or seven years old. He always showed up. He'd take my shoes outside, shine them and come back for his 20 p's.
Vince (DC1SON) > These youngsters were much happier than the little ones I used to see at the base dump digging through our garbage for food.
Vince (DC1SON) > I believe this is Cpl. David Perry
